I’m walking Paris arrondissement by arrondissement. Yesterday was the 18th, Montmartre, up on the hill with a great view of the Pantheon, quieter streets and leafy plazas. Home to Picasso, Gris, Braque, Reverdy, Stein, and others in a heyday which no longer exists. Though it’s comfy cozy, there’s no longer a bohemian feel. But after the densely-packed tourist streets of the 1st arrondissement, just being somewhere with more space was lovely.
